His GWU thesis was titled "Amending UCMJ Article 66(c)" and sought to abolish the de novo evaluation of factual sufficiency in criminal appeals.
In 2012, Matt Pinsker obtained a Juris Doctor from the West Virginia University College of Law. He was a member of several organizations, including the West Virginia National Security Law Review and the Veterans Law Caucus.
